Norfolk Rare Breeds Centre

Four fantatsic breeds of Turkeys have become our friends these are the Bronze,  the rare Buff turkey and the amazingly gracefull Ronquirre /calico turkey

These majestic birds really do deserve more than the public awareness than they get at christmas.

They are fantastic birds and pretty good at guarding the home as well

Turkey eggs can be eaten, though large they are excellent in cake baking.

 The Old English Buff turkey, "buffy" is Very protective of his ladies so entrance to his domain is at your own risk, but wow is he and the breed itself superb, the look so magnificent and regal.

 The Ronquire, rescued from near extinction, after the 2nd world war, these superb birds bear many resemblances to the Crolwitzer but are indeed a breed apart!!  We are one of only a handfull of breeders / keeper of the Ronquire Turkey in the UK.
